LGB 30693 G luggage trolley car

In order to ensure the power supply for long express trains on the Albula line, some luggage wagons were equipped with a pantograph, transformer and the necessary switchgear around 2010. In the meantime, these wagons are no longer all needed, as the new Albula articulated trains can no longer run together with the Bernina Express due to their higher weight. The pantographs on four of the seven carriages have therefore been removed. However, the lowered roof surface and some insulators have been retained so that the carriages can be recognized at first glance.

This model of an RhB baggage car reflects an interesting development. Originally equipped with a pantograph, this has been removed in recent years. An additional box on the roof, which was only recently fitted to the original, gives the car an unmistakable character. The true-to-original paint scheme and lettering correspond to Era VI.

The doors of the model are functional and metal wheel sets ensure a realistic representation. With an impressive length over buffers of 62 cm, this model is not only detailed, but also tells a story about the changes that the baggage car has undergone over the course of time. An impressive piece for model train enthusiasts and collectors of historic railroad vehicles.
