Description

LGB 40273 G Offener Güterwagen der K.Sächs.Sts.E.B., Ep. I-VI Product Details

LGB 40273 G K 347 K.Sächs.Sts.E.B. Open Freight Car, Era I/VI

With the LGB 40273, model railroaders get an authentically designed K 347 open freight car as it was originally used in Era I on the Royal Saxon State Railroad (K.Sächs.Sts.E.B.). Today, the original vehicle is a historical exhibit at the Dresden Transport Museum and is currently housed in Zittau - a testimony to living railroad history that has been faithfully transferred to garden railway format with this model.

Prototype with a museum background

The K 347 wagon is a typical representative of Saxon narrow-gauge freight wagons and was originally used to transport bulk goods, timber, building materials and other open loads. The model includes both the Era I lettering and an Era VI lettering variant - ideal for history-conscious model railroaders who want to vary between historical and modern museum scenes.

Model with an authentic look

The vehicle has a true-to-original color scheme and lettering and is equipped with robust metal wheel sets that ensure smooth running on the garden railroad. With a length over buffers of 300 mm, the car is ideal for use on small shunting yards or as part of a historically accurate narrow-gauge freight train. LGB's own coupler pockets ensure safe operation in combination with other vehicles in the system.

Versatile use - for collectors and operators

Whether as a rolling museum piece in a modern museum train or in classic use on an Era I narrow gauge line - this car cuts a fine figure on any G layout. The high-quality workmanship and well thought-out proportions make it equally attractive for collectors and active garden railroaders.
