The Märklin 36060 class 185.2 electric locomotive was designed in a fictitious special version for the 60th anniversary of the Märklin Magazine. With its exclusive design, gold-plated details, and extensive digital functions, this model is a real collector's item and a thematically appropriate addition to the Märklin Magazin annual cars.
Prototype and special feature
The class 185.2 is part of the TRAXX family of modern freight and passenger locomotives. Märklin has produced this model in a special anniversary version. The pantographs and coupling brackets, which are gilded with 24-carat gold, are striking. This unusual design sets the model apart from classic production locomotives and makes it a unique collector's item.
Model highlights
The locomotive body is made of metal and gives the model a high-quality feel and stability. Separately attached grab rails on the front of the locomotive emphasize the attention to detail. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free, warm white and red LEDs. The model is equipped with an mfx decoder and has extensive sound and light functions that enable a realistic playing experience.
Technical features
A centrally installed special motor drives all four axles via cardan shaft. Traction tires provide additional traction. The three-light headlights dependent on the direction of travel and the two red marker lights can be controlled digitally. The light functions can be controlled separately on both sides of the locomotive. If the headlights on both sides are turned off, the double A light function is active. Two functional roof pantographs are also part of the equipment.
Use on the model railroad
With a length over buffers of approx. 21.7 cm, the locomotive is ideal for H0 layouts. It is not only a powerful model for operation, but also an attractive collector's item for enthusiasts and Märklin fans due to the gold-plated elements and the exclusive design.
