Historical background
The prototype of this model - the C4ü-28 express train car - was manufactured between 1928 and 1930 as a standard design and was used again after the Second World War under the German Reichsbahn of the GDR. The coach with the serial number 3 ran in express train D11 between Dresden and Warnemünde, an important connection point between the inland and the Baltic coast.
