Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) type Gl "Dresden" boxcar Gbkl 238 of the former replacement type. Short version, without hand brake, brakeman's platform and brakeman's cab. Version without end wall doors. Operating condition around 1972.

About the model: The Gbkl boxcar has prototypical "LOEWE" advertising lettering on a brown paint scheme. Without indicated end wall doors, with sprinkler system and additional running boards.
