The cars are painted reddish-brown and each is loaded with a 40-ft. box container from the BELL freight forwarding company. Kbs-type stake cars were used for a wide range of purposes starting in the 1970s—from transporting wood and steel to container traffic. A variable stanchion system allowed for the safe transport of a wide variety of cargo. The model shown here depicts the typical operational condition from 1975 onward, with a container load in international freight transport.

Prototype-accurate model with functional features

Both cars feature a truss frame and side stanchion mounts. Insertable stanchions for the long and short sides are included in the package. Each car is loaded with a 40-foot box container from the BELL freight forwarding company—the containers are removable and stackable, making them ideal for shunting and transshipment scenarios. The cars are individually packaged and additionally protected by sturdy outer packaging.

The cars are designed for the Märklin AC system but can also be used on DC layouts with the E700580 DC wheel set. The length over buffers is 15.8 cm per car, for a total of approximately 31.6 cm.
