The advantages of the rail connector
- all parts are made of solid brass (both profile and screws)
- easily mounted from above
- mechanically very tight fit
- always cleanly aligned track profile
- can also be used as an electrical track connector with soldering tag underneath
- fits the shortest LGB - sleeper spacing
Especially in garden layouts, it is unfortunately unavoidable, that the tracks oxidize after some time and thus the electrical contact often noticeably deteriorates, possibly even breaks off. This is where the rail connector provides a remedy: The specially developed brass profile (dovetail profile) ensures that the rails are screwed together very robustly. As a result, the tracks are always aligned. Another special feature is that the exclusive use of brass means that no galvanic reactions can occur, as is the case with soldered tracks, for example. Likewise, in the development of the rail connector, care was taken to ensure that they are particularly easy to install. The slotted screws used allow dirt to be easily removed from the screw slot with a screwdriver. This is not possible with a Phillips and an Allen or hexagon socket screw.

Frequently asked questions
| Question: | Which model railway tracks are the Massoth 8100111 rail joiners suitable for? |
| Answer: | The rail joiners are designed for G scale brass track and are particularly suitable for flexible track and garden railways. They also fit the shortest LGB sleeper spacing. |
| Question: | How many rail joiners are included? |
| Answer: | The package contains 50 rail joiners. Each joiner is 19 mm long and uses two screws, making the set suitable for constructing, extending or repairing several track sections. |
| Question: | What are the benefits of the screw connection? |
| Answer: | The dovetail profile provides a mechanically secure fit and a reliable electrical connection. Track sections can be joined without soldering and disconnected again when maintenance is required. |
| Question: | Are the rail joiners suitable for outdoor use? |
| Answer: | Yes, both the joiner profiles and screws are made from solid brass. Using the same material throughout reduces unwanted reactions between different metals and makes the joiners suitable for weather-exposed garden railway track. |
| Question: | Can the joiners also be used as electrical track connections? |
| Answer: | Yes, a soldering lug can be fitted underneath a joiner to create an electrical track feed. Installation is carried out from above, making it relatively convenient even on track that has already been laid. |
