Variety of models for modern freight traffic: Mehano 28401 H0 Sggmrss'90 Bertschi/Wascosa container wagon
The Mehano 28401 H0 Sggmrss'90 container wagon with two tank containers from the Bertschi company in the Wascosa version brings authentic everyday railroad life of Era VI directly to your model railway layout. This double-articulated car is an example of container transportation throughout Europe as it has been operated by various private railroad companies since 2004. The realistic realization makes the model a special eye-catcher - ideal for modern freight train scenarios in H0.
Thanks to its well thought-out design, the Sggmrss'90 can carry various types of containers: in addition to 45-ft containers, 40-ft, 20-ft and special tank containers can also be transported. The model implemented here carries two realistically printed tank containers from the well-known Swiss logistics company Bertschi, mounted on a carrier wagon in the design of Wascosa - an established leasing company for freight wagons.
Technical details
The model is designed for H0 gauge and has standardized shaft couplers in accordance with NEM 362. Close coupler kinematics have been deliberately omitted. It is suitable for direct current systems (DC) and can be used from a minimum radius of 358 mm (radius 2). The Mehano 28401 is a pure freight wagon without its own drive and offers realistic running characteristics in long block trains due to its length and articulated design.
Design and paintwork
The paintwork of the carrier wagon corresponds to the typical appearance of the Wascosa freight wagons and features precise lettering. The two Bertschi tank containers are designed realistically and in contrasting colors. The lettering and logos reflect the modern standards in European hazardous goods and chemical transportation. This gives the model a particularly lively and authentic look for present-day operations.
Use and faithfulness to the original
Sggmrss'90 container wagons have been in use in Europe since 2004. They are used by various railroad companies, particularly in the combined transport sector. The high utility value of these vehicles lies in their flexibility and modularity when transporting containers. In real operation, they are used almost exclusively in block trains, which makes them an indispensable element of modern logistics - and also on the model railroad layout.
Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery includes the fully assembled Mehano 28401 container wagon with two Bertschi brand tank containers. The wagon is ready for immediate use and can be integrated directly into your model railroad layout.
Target group and added value
This model is aimed at model railroaders who value modern and realistic train compositions. The combination of striking design, technical standards and faithfulness to the prototype makes the Mehano 28401 ideal for collectors and layout builders who are dedicated to modern freight transportation. This model offers a high show value and wealth of detail, especially for scenes with hazardous goods logistics or intermodal traffic.
