The Piko 21040 H0 Rh 1067 electric loc omotive is an extraordinary reproduction of one of the rarest locomotives in Austrian railroad history. This compact shunting locomotive, which was in service with the ÖBB between 1961 and 1994, is now being produced for the first time as a large series model in H0 scale. With its fir green paintwork and characteristic technical features, the locomotive brings the fascination of the 1067 series directly to your model railway layout.

The prototype of the Piko Rh 1067 electric locomotive

With its small number of only five prototypes, the 1067 series was a real specialty. Built by the Jenbacher works, this locomotive had a central driver's cab and an electro-hydraulic drive - a technical innovation of its time. The vehicles were used for shunting services and were painted in fir green or blood orange.

Unfortunately, the locomotive was not a commercial success due to its technical vulnerability. After 1994, the 1067 series was taken out of service completely. Two of the locomotives, including the 1067.03, can be admired today in the Knittelfeld and Ampflwang railroad museums.
