Piko 21045 H0 E-Lok Rh 1067 orange, ÖBB, Ep. IV, DC-Sound Product Details
PIKO 21045 - H0 Rh 1067 electric locomotive, ÖBB, Era IV, orange, with sound
The Piko 21045 is the factory digitized sound version of the rare ÖBB series 1067 - a real one-off among the electric locomotives of Era IV. Only five of these vehicles with electrohydraulic drive were built - at the Jenbacher works. Their characteristic design with central driver's cab and striking blood-orange paintwork makes them a highlight on any H0 layout with an Austrian connection.
The locomotives of the 1067 series were used in shunting service between 1961 and 1994, although never in large numbers. Their technology was special, but also prone to failure - which is why no series production took place. Today, two machines are preserved in museums - a piece of Austrian railroad history that PIKO has faithfully reproduced here in 1:87 scale.
Digital & sound ex works
The model is equipped with a factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder. PIKO TrainSound® onboard provides numerous sounds true to the original - from the locomotive engine and compressor to typical shunting noises. All functions can be controlled digitally and ensure a harmonious operating atmosphere.
Light functions & digital features
The model has a three-light headlight with red tail lights that automatically changes with the direction of travel in analog operation and can be switched individually in digital operation. Shunting light, separately switchable headlights and marker lights as well as driver's desk lighting (analog active, digitally controllable) round off the functional package.
Detailing & equipment
Particular attention was paid to the highly detailed reproduction of the cooling system in the front end with free-standing fan wheel. Further highlights: delicate metal scissor pantograph without visible screw connections, realistic running gear with add-on parts and detailed interior fittings.
Technical data & presentation
The locomotive has a length over buffers of 121 mm and can negotiate radii from 358 mm. The NEM shaft with close coupler link allows it to be combined with all standard cars. Two traction tires ensure safe traction. A track replica is included as a base plate for the display case as well as accessories (brake lines, coupling hooks, covers).
