The Piko 21811 is a powerful-sounding AC version of the popular Austrian electric locomotive Rh 1110.0 from the ÖBB. In the authentic representation of Era IV, this model brings the classic railroad operation of the Alpine Republic in the 1970s and 1980s to your H0 layout. The locomotive is factory-equipped with a powerful PIKO sound decoder including a large loudspeaker - for a directly usable, acoustic driving experience in the Märklin system.

The factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder provides realistic operating sounds - from traction motors and brakes to the signal horn and fan noise. A large-volume loudspeaker ensures clear, powerful sound reproduction. All sound functions are fully digitally controllable - ideal for AC digital layouts in Märklin format.

Modern light functions

The equipment includes a direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red based on energy-saving LEDs. Digitally switchable cab lighting is also integrated - particularly effective for night operation or in BW scenes. The functions can be conveniently controlled via digital control units.

Technology & compatibility

The locomotive measures 205 mm over buffers and can easily negotiate radii from 358 mm. It is equipped with NEM shafts and close coupler link, which ensures optimum coupling with passenger or freight cars. Two traction tires provide excellent traction - even on long trains or gradients.

Prototype & area of use

The ÖBB used the Rh 1110.0 on many main and branch lines. It was present in domestic traffic as well as on cross-border routes, for example to Germany, Italy or Hungary. The model brings this flair of Era IV to your model railroad layout in true detail.
