With the Piko 22010, PIKO brings an attractive variant of its popular small locomotive model: the Rh 600 shunting tractor in the historical version of the DSB (Danske Statsbaner) for Era III. This compact locomotive impresses with its high level of detail, balanced proportions and numerous attached parts - ideal for fans of Danish railroad history and authentic shunting operations.

Based on the proven design of the NS Rh 500, the DSB also adopted similar vehicles for internal shunting. These robust shunting tractors were in daily use in stations, depots and at freight loading points. The PIKO model shows the locomotive as it was in the 1950s and 1960s - functional, neatly detailed and technically up to date.

Digitally prepared & sound capable

The locomotive is designed for direct current operation and is equipped with a PluX22 digital interface in accordance with NEM 658. The PIKO sound decoder #56642 is available as a retrofit option for the complete sound experience. This offers a variety of true-to-original shunting locomotive sounds - from engine start to speed steps to the horn.

Lighting & digital functions

A white/red light change depending on the direction of travel and digitally switchable cab lighting are included as standard. All lighting functions are based on energy-saving LED technology and can be precisely controlled via digital systems.

Detailing & appearance

The model impresses with numerous attached details: fine spoked wheels, free-standing handle bars, attached battery and sand boxes, air tanks, spring assemblies, as well as water level indicator, tank filler neck, whistle and sign holder. For collectors, accessories are included for presentation in the display case.

Technology & compatibility

With a compact length over buffers of 104 mm, the shunting tractor is ideal for smaller layouts, stations and industrial areas. The minimum radius is 358 mm, two traction tires ensure good traction. The locomotive has NEM shafts with close coupler linkage and can therefore be safely integrated into any model railroad operation.

Prototype & field of application

The Rh 600 on the DSB was a reliable helper in freight handling, wagon dispatching and in railroad depots. The model brings this typical operating atmosphere of Era III to the H0 layout - ideal for Danish layouts or international border stations with DSB participation.

The scope of delivery includes the Piko 22010 Rh 600 DSB diesel locomotive in DC version, operating instructions and accessories for showcase or exhibition purposes. The locomotive is analog ex works, but can be digitized and retrofitted with sound.
