The Piko "Swiss Soda Factory" tank car brings a typical industrial freight car of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to your H0 layout. As a two-axle tank car with a brakeman's platform, it represents the typical vehicle design of Era IV and is ideal for transporting chemicals, liquid gases or industrial products such as soda or lye.

The wagon impresses with its free-standing ladder and platform, a classic brakeman's platform and robust design. Thanks to its excellent rolling characteristics and NEM shaft with close coupler link, it can also be used reliably in longer trains. Ideal for layouts with industrial connections, shunting operations or transfer traffic.

In the 1970s, such two-axle tank cars were a common sight on Swiss tracks. They transported products from the chemical industry and were often labeled by private shippers such as the "Schweizer Sodafabrik". Their compact design also allowed them to be used on branch lines and in narrow industrial facilities.
