Piko 50601 steam locomotive BR 78, DB, Ep. III (digital, without sound) AC current/AC

Finally, a contemporary replacement for the very popular and formerly widespread BR 78 comes in the form of a new design from PIKO - and with it the first steam locomotive in the Expert product line. The model raises the established standard of the Expert range even higher. Almost all of the lines are free-standing, the driver's cab, water boxes and smoke box are decorated with the finest replicas of the rivet heads. Thanks to the materials used, the wheelset stars and steering could be made extremely delicate. The five-pole PIKO motor with flywheel ensures excellent running characteristics. Additional weights in the boiler and two traction tires generate a high tractive force. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works. A loudspeaker and a smoke set can also be retrofitted with minimal effort. The LED lighting, which is dependent on the direction of travel, ensures an authentic operating atmosphere. Brake hoses for retrofitting are included.
