Historical background
The class 62 was a unique standard locomotive with the axle arrangement 2'C2', developed as a fast tender locomotive for passenger traffic. Only 15 units were built by Henschel in 1928. Some survived the war and ended up in the stock of the German Reichsbahn of the GDR, where they were to be found in regular service in Era IV. Their striking appearance and technical rarity make them a special piece of railroad history.
Compatibility & expansion options
The locomotive is fully compatible with H0 track systems in 2L direct current operation. Thanks to modern PluX22 digital technology, operation can be conveniently controlled via digital command stations. It is ideal as a train locomotive for DR express and passenger trains of the 1970s.
