With the Piko H0 AC sound steam locomotive Rh 691 of the ÖBB you get a real steam locomotive rarity on your AC system. As a new 2025 design, this model depicts one of the few T 9.3 engines that continued to be operated in Austria after the war under the Rh 691 series designation. Completely equipped with a factory-integrated sound decoder, steam generator and mfx® compatibility, this model offers steam romance at the highest level.

Model technology at the highest level

The locomotive is equipped with digitally switchable cab, running gear and firebox lighting. The PIKO TrainSound® decoder provides realistic soundscapes, while the integrated steam generator provides visual flair. The equipment includes a typical ÖBB driver's cab, coal box attachment, disk leading wheel set, finely detailed linkage and die-cast zinc wheels - perfect for an authentic realization of the prototype.

Rh 691 - one of the rarest ÖBB steam locomotives

Only two locomotives of this series were actively used in the St. Pölten area. Their modified design with a disk leading wheelset makes them unique - and particularly exclusive as an AC model.

AC-capable with mfx® comfort

The locomotive is designed for AC operation and supports mfx®-compatible digital command stations. It is equipped with a PluX16 sound decoder so that all functions - light, sound and steam - can be conveniently controlled digitally.
