History meets high-tech - the prototype

Between 1950 and 1957, 191 units of the TKt48 series were built in the Fablok and Cegielski factories. Thanks to its high friction mass, reversibility at 80 km/h in both directions and robust construction, it was the ideal mountain locomotive for branch lines. Although their use officially ended in 1989, more than a dozen machines have been preserved - as part of Poland's technical heritage.

The locomotive features numerous lovingly designed elements: Wind deflectors, fine brake linkage, die-cast zinc wheels, window inserts and a completely open interior with detailed driver's cab equipment. In addition, driver's cab lighting, running gear lighting and firebox flickering can be switched digitally - for atmospheric operating displays.
