Novelty 2023: The completely new design of the elegant ÖBB class 1018 fulfills the wish of many model railway enthusiasts for a contemporary model of this cult locomotive. The PIKO model perfectly reproduces the characteristic curves of the prototype and impresses with a variety of details on the body and in the chassis area. Particularly noteworthy are the fine wheel sets, the exact reproduction of the roof lines and the consideration of various locomotive-historical features in the design. The model, which has a die-cast zinc frame, impresses on the layout with its excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. In addition to the low-maintenance LED headlights, the locomotive also has engine room lighting and driving desk lighting. The sound version has a matching sound decoder ex works.
