Piko 51619 H0 E-Lok ET21, PKP, Ep. III, DC-Sound Product Details
Piko 51619 H0 Electric locomotive ET21, PKP, Ep. III, DC sound - Polish freight train legend with authentic sound
With the Piko 51619 ET21 electric locomotive, PIKO brings an impressively detailed DC model of the first Polish electric freight locomotive to the H0 layout. In the Era III version, this powerful model reflects the early years of electric traction at the PKP - with typical styling, free-standing roof equipment and a powerful sound image thanks to the factory-installed decoder.
Historical model with impressive performance
The ET21 was the first electrically powered freight locomotive developed and built in series in Poland. Between 1958 and 1971, a total of 658 units were produced, which were designed to move 2400 tons at 70 km/h on a level track. This model shows the locomotive in its typical appearance of Era III - ideal for classic freight trains on electrified main lines of the PKP.
Detailing at the highest level
The PIKO ET21 impresses with free-standing lines and superstructures on the roof, separately attached grab irons, etched checker plates and fine windshield wipers. The view into the reproduced engine room, whose lighting can be switched digitally, is particularly impressive. The driver's cab lighting can also be controlled separately digitally and rounds off the harmonious overall picture.
Powerful sound and technically sophisticated
A factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder (PSD XP) provides a realistic operating sound and numerous additional digital functions. The light change in white/red is dependent on the direction of travel. The model is equipped with NEM shafts and close coupler link and offers the best running characteristics on all standard H0 tracks from a radius of 358 mm.
For Eastern European model railroad scenarios of the 1960s
The ET21 was a familiar sight on the electrified lines in Poland in Era III. This model is ideal for train formations with PKP freight cars or international transfer traffic in the Eastern Bloc - a must for fans of Eastern European railroad history.
