Piko 51634 electric locomotive Rh 1044, ÖBB, Ep. V

Novelty 2023: Variant of the Rh 1044 in the ÖBB version in Era V. The characterful locomotive face of the former ÖBB showpiece was excellently captured in the model realization, as was the striking side section of the vehicles, which with the pronounced beading and the typical "portholes" posed quite a challenge for the mold making. The resulting impression of an ideal visual effect is continued in the bogies of the locomotive. Last but not least, the 1044 is technically impressive: A five-pole PIKO motor with two finely balanced flywheels on its shaft ensures smooth propulsion. Model railroaders who prefer digital operation benefit from the modern PluX22 interface - it allows the installation of a digital decoder in just a few simple steps. The now obligatory light change has been implemented using modern LED technology.
