Piko 52416 diesel locomotive BR 216, DB, Ep. IV (incl. sound)

This is the class 216 in the DB version in Era IV. In the 1960s and 1970s, the class V 160 or 216 was the express locomotive for lines without overhead wire on the German Federal Railroad. The developers have implemented the striking design of the prototype in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal running characteristics. These attributes are underlined by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paintwork that is consistent down to the smallest detail. Contemporary LED technology serves as the basis for the light change in red/white as well as the light functions that can be switched by retrofitting a digital decoder. Furthermore, a suitable sound decoder is installed in this model at the factory and the buffer beam of the vehicle can be completed in line with the prototype using the included accessories.
