Piko 53022 Reko-luggage trolley car Dage, DR, Ep. IV Product Details

In order to modernize its passenger car fleet more quickly, the DR decided to equip existing two- and three-axle state railroad cars with new bodies.

Starting in 1959, the first cars designated as Reko cars were in service and soon formed the backbone of the DR's passenger service. They could be found on all lines, with trains of up to 10 cars running on main lines.
