With the Piko 55927 H0 steam locomotive BR 62, PIKO brings a powerful and at the same time finely detailed steam locomotive of the German Reichsbahn (DR) for the AC system to the model railway layout. The prototype was known for its compact yet powerful design - an impression that has been perfectly captured in the model by the free-standing boiler, the filigree bar frame and the clear view in the engine area. The elegant wheel spiders and the finely reproduced brake linkage underline the high-quality detailing and give the model an impressive visual appearance.

The interior of the driver's cab is fully visible and the crystal-clear windows provide a view of the elaborately designed rear wall of the boiler and driver's cab. Zinc die-cast and metal parts ensure a high dead weight which, in conjunction with the precisely tuned motor with flywheel mass, stands for the best running characteristics. As part of the PIKO Expert Plus series, the locomotive offers numerous digital highlights: The factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder enables digital control of the driver's cab and engine lighting as well as the realistic flickering of the firebox.

Particularly noteworthy is the factory-installed steam function - a wheel-synchronized, pulsed evaporator provides an impressive steam experience on the layout. The locomotive is also equipped with digitally switchable couplers. The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red rounds off the technical equipment. The model is designed for a minimum radius of 358 mm and has a length over buffers of 197 mm.
