Thanks to the precise drive technology from Piko, the model has excellent running characteristics. The GTW 2/6 is suitable for a minimum radius of 358 mm and can therefore also be used on more compact layouts without any problems. The model was developed for smooth and quiet operation, making it ideal for use in modern model railroad layouts.

Digital interface and sound preparation

The model is equipped with an NEM 652 digital interface for easy digitization. It can also be retrofitted with a PIKO sound decoder (#56617) so that acoustic operating noises can also be reproduced realistically. The railcar therefore provides the perfect basis for digital model railroad operation.

Prototypical lighting and multiple traction

The railcar has a white/redlight change depending on the direction of travel, which further increases the realism of operation. In addition, the interior lighting can be retrofitted with two PIKO interior lights (#56139). A special coupler is included for model railroaders who want to run the GTW 2/6 in multiple traction.
