Piko 59198 electric locomotive Vectron "500", ÖBB, Ep. VI

With the H0 model of the electric locomotive Vectron of the ÖBB, PIKO fulfills the wishes of PIKO fans who, both as layout operators and as collectors, have decided in favor of models based on prototypes of the most modern railroad technology. With the Vectron, PIKO delivers a high-precision manufactured model based on a solid zinc die-cast frame and equipped with proven PIKO standards, featuring numerous extras. The proven PIKO motor provides excellent running characteristics with two large flywheel masses. The tractive effort of the locomotive, which is driven over all four axles, is reinforced by two traction tires, which are located on the inside running axles of both bogies in a diagonal arrangement to each other. The front and rear lamps are illuminated by LEDs whose red and white colors change with the direction of travel. The outwardly elegant appearance of this model includes an accurately reproduced technical "roofscape" and carefully detailed bogies with prototypical wheel disc profiles.
