Piko 59760 H0-diesel locomotive BR 231, DR, Ep.IV, AC Sound, AC current

Printed version of the DR class 231 in Era IV.

Based exactly on the prototype, the model has the large front and side windows of the first delivery series. The separately attached handrails in front of the driver's cabs and the "tidy" roof were just as typical. Model railroad enthusiasts should also be impressed by the precisely reproduced, robust bogie detailing, which can withstand the tough everyday operating conditions on the model railroad. The motor, equipped with two flywheels, together with the heavy die-cast zinc frame and the elegant cardan shaft drive on four axles (two wheels covered with traction tires in a diagonal arrangement) give the model excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder with a large loudspeaker ex works and impresses with a wide range of digital and sound functions.

The model bears the "fits mfx®" quality mark. A new "fits mfx®" quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the "fits mfx®" quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
