With the Piko 59762 diesel locomotive T 679.2, PIKO brings a powerful H0 model of the CSD from Era IV to the model railroad layout. The locomotive, also known as "Sergej", embodies Eastern European diesel power with a typical appearance and high fidelity to the prototype. The model impresses with its powerful effect, which is not least due to the striking front aprons.

Detailed construction and striking design

The separately attached handrails in front of the driver's cabs and the tidy roof design are among the striking features. The slightly shorter design compared to the BR 132 is visually balanced out by the low front aprons - an effect that is also powerfully accentuated in the model.

The robustly designed bogies are finely detailed and at the same time stable enough to withstand intensive operation on the layout. This makes the locomotive particularly suitable for model railroaders who focus not only on aesthetics but also on practicality.

Technically mature for high performance requirements

Inside, a powerful motor with two large flywheel masses ensures smooth running. The cardan shaft drive powers four axles, with two wheels - arranged diagonally - fitted with traction tires. The heavy die-cast zinc frame gives the locomotive additional stability and ensures high tractive forces.

Digitally prepared and sound-capable

The locomotive is equipped with a NEM 658 PluX22 digital interface and can be easily retrofitted with the PIKO sound decoder #56540. A white/red light change depending on the direction of travel also ensures a prototypical appearance during operation. The close coupler linkage also allows close car routing.
