Piko 96638 H0 Gedeckter Güterwagen Gs40, SNCF, Ep. IV Product Details
PIKO 96638 H0 Gs40 boxcar, SNCF, Ep. IV
The PIKO 96638 Gs40 boxcar in the SNCF version is a typical vehicle of the French freight traffic of Era IV. With its compact design and striking lettering, it is an excellent addition to classic freight trains of the 1970s and 1980s and can be used universally - both in domestic traffic and in cross-border operations.
Fine detailing and prototypical design
The model impresses with its free-standing mounted components, which ensure a high level of detail and give the wagon a realistic appearance. The harmonious color scheme and the filigree design make the Gs40 an authentic companion for French Era IV train sets on the model railway layout.
Technically reliable and flexible to use
With a length over buffers of 122 mm, the wagon is particularly layout-friendly and is ideal for freight trains on tight radii from 358 mm. The excellent rolling characteristics guarantee smooth running - even in mixed wagon formations. Suitable AC exchange wheel sets are available for use on AC systems under item number 56060.
Optimal addition for French freight trains
Thanks to its typical design, the Gs40 boxcar can be used in a variety of ways - for example for transporting general cargo, cardboard boxes or foodstuffs. For model railroaders aged 14 and over, the PIKO 96638 is an ideal addition to SNCF locomotives and other freight cars of Era IV.
