Description

Rivarossi HR6697 H0 Gedeckter Güterwagen Gs, DR, Ep. IV Product Details

Rivarossi HR6697 H0 Covered goods wagon Gs - DR, Era IV

Are you looking for a classic single wagon for freight traffic on your Era IV layout? With the Rivarossi HR6697 you get a typical East German type Gs boxcar - complete with train rear lantern and in a true-to-original DR design.

Everyday freight car of the German State Railroad

The two-axle Gs wagon was a widely used standard freight wagon in the GDR for all types of weather-sensitive freight. Rivarossi has implemented this prototype in H0 with great attention to detail - ideal for realistic shunting scenes, local freight trains or combined transfer traffic on your layout.

Prototypical down to the last detail

The distinctive box shape, neatly applied lettering and the characteristic DR color scheme reflect the prototype exactly. Particularly noteworthy is the non-functional but visually successful train end lantern - an indispensable detail at the end of a freight train.

Technically reliable and flexible in use

With a length over buffers of 120 mm, the wagon is ideal for smaller layouts or branch line scenarios. Thanks to the NEM coupling shaft with close coupling kinematics, it can be easily integrated into various train sets. The model is based on the 2L direct current system and has an analog design.

Perfect for DR layouts of the 70s and 80s

Whether as part of a mixed freight train or in solo operation on a rural branch line - this car is a real piece of everyday GDR railroad life. It harmonizes particularly well with DR diesel locomotives and other freight cars from Era IV.

A piece of GDR railroad history for your model railroad

With the HR6697 boxcar, you are getting a model that combines historical authenticity and practical usability. Ideal for collectors, DR fans and anyone who values prototypical operation.
