The Roco 6600226 set includes two sliding tarpaulin wagons of the Shimmns type from the freight wagon hire company NACCO. These wagons are typical representatives of modern European rail freight traffic and were specially developed for the transportation of weather-sensitive goods such as steel coils, wood or machine components. In Era VI, they are in use throughout Europe and are an indispensable part of modern freight trains.
Prototype and use
Shimmns sliding tarpaulin wagons are known for their versatility. The laterally sliding tarpaulins enable fast loading and unloading while at the same time protecting the load from the weather. NACCO's wagons are used throughout Europe and are frequently deployed in international block trains or mixed freight trains. They stand for flexibility and modern logistics solutions in rail freight transport.
Detailed model realization
The two wagons in the set are finely detailed and prototypically printed. The clean design of the sliding tarpaulins and the fine engravings in particular ensure a realistic appearance. With a total length of 276 mm over buffers, the wagons fit perfectly into modern H0 freight train formations and set visual accents.
Technical features
The wagons are equipped with coupler pockets in accordance with NEM 362 and close coupler kinematics. This enables a close wagon transition and ensures safe operation on the model railroad. Suitable AC wheel sets (item no. 40196) are available for use on Märklin layouts. The cars are intended for operation in the direct current system (DC Analog).
Ideal for Era VI trains
