About the model: The class 89.70-75 steam locomotive is a German State Railroad model, is from Era III, and has a digital interface. A decoder can be added at any time. The locomotive is powered by 3 axles. All further details about the model can be found under the features.
About the prototype: From 1882 to 1910, approx. 1,550 class T3 tank locomotives of various designs were delivered to the Prussian State Railroad (K.P.E.V.) and other state railroads. As type Cn2, the M III-4p version of the locomotive had a friction load of 36 tons and could travel at a maximum speed of 40 km/h with an output of 300 HPi. The Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) took over 511 units and added them to its fleet under the designation BR 89.70-75.
