The electric locomotive 143 124 looks back on an exciting operating history: delivered to the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1986 as 243 124, it was renamed 143 124 in 1992. After being taken out of service by DB AG in 2011, it found a new area of operation at RBH before finally receiving its new, eye-catching design for Erfurter Bahn Service GmbH in 2021. In cooperation with Railcolor Design and OnTrack, a modern highlight on European freight lines was created - and now as a detailed H0 model for your layout.

Design & finish

The model is presented in the striking, modern design of Erfurter Bahnservice GmbH, created in cooperation with Railcolor Design and OnTrack. Finely engraved details, numerous separately applied plug-in parts - some using etching technology - and delicate pantographs give the locomotive a high degree of authenticity. The clean color separation and precise printing make this model a real eye-catcher.

Technical features & special functions

In digital operation, the headlights, marker lights and cab lighting can be switched separately. The 3 headlights/2 tail lights system works with modern LED technology depending on the direction of travel. The driver's cab lighting is also realized with LEDs and provides additional authenticity during operation - especially in twilight or night operation.

Historical background

Locomotive 143 124 was originally built for the Deutsche Reichsbahn under the designation 243 124. After being taken over by DB AG and later decommissioned, it found its way to Erfurter Bahnservice GmbH via RBH, where it has been used in a new look since 2021 - primarily in freight traffic on the German rail network.

Compatibility & expansion options

The locomotive is suitable for all common 2L digital layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm. Thanks to the NEM standard coupler with close coupler link, it can be easily integrated into train formations. It can be optimally combined with modern or converted Era VI freight cars.
