BLS Cargo decided in 2019 to increase its existing "Vectron fleet" of around 15 locomotives by 25 machines. In addition to the country packages Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands, the new locomotives now also include Belgium. The main visual difference between the locomotives is the new design on the sides. The design again moves a little closer to their slogan "The Alpinists" and shows mountaineers at lofty heights in the impressive Swiss mountains. We dedicate the chosen road number Re 475 425 to the Re 425 fleet, which has been replaced by the new Vectron locomotives, sending a true Swiss into retirement.
