Roco 70794 electric locomotive BR 141, DB AG, Ep. V

The class E 41/141 locomotives were first delivered in 1956 for light mixed service on main and branch lines. They were the only class in the standard locomotive program to be equipped with a switching mechanism on the low-voltage side of the transformer. The switchgear had a characteristic noise that led to the nickname "firecracker" in addition to the large jumps in tractive effort.
