Roco 7300017 H0 diesel locomotive 742 386-6, ZSSK-Cargo, Ep.VI

In the 1970s, the former Czechoslovakian State Railways (ČSD) had a great need for powerful diesel freight locomotives for medium-duty shunting and mainline service. As a result, the lighter T 466.2 variant was derived from the industrial locomotive type T 448. It was manufactured by ČKD in Prague from 1977 in nine series (each with minor differences) with 494 units and was put into service by ČSD until 1986. In 1998, the series designation T 466.2 was changed to 742. Many locomotives are still in service today for ZSSK Cargo on the Slovakian rails in freight traffic.
