The "spectacled snake" - powerhouse from the Czech Republic
The locomotives of the T 478.4 series, later known as the 754 series, were built at CKD in Prague as a more powerful further development of the T 478.3. Equipped with a new engine and electric train heating, a total of 86 machines were added to the ČD fleet as the 754 series from 1988. The 754 047 locomotive is shown in its current operating condition with a blue roof and distinctive belly band.
