The CD Cargo 742 171 diesel locomotive is presented as a precise H0 model in the 3rd series version, with ribbed driver's cab side wall and ribbed roof. This modernized version is characterized by a covered radiator box, a small upper headlight and an unobstructed view through the driver's cab.

Originally designed in the 1970s by the former Czechoslovakian State Railways (ČSD) for medium-duty shunting and mainline service, the T 466.2 variant was derived from the T 448 industrial locomotive type.
With a total of nine series built by ČKD in Prague between 1977 and 1986, 494 units of these locomotives were put into service. The series designation was changed from T 466.2 to 742 in 1998. To this day, many of these locomotives are still active in freight transport for CD Cargo on the Czech railways and shape the image of modern rail logistics.
