The Roco 7310086 M62-901 diesel locomotive of the Raaberbahn/Györ-Sopron-Ebenfurti Vasút (GySEV) is a high quality model for collectors and railway enthusiasts of Era IV. Historical background
The Raab-Ödenburg-Ebenfurter Eisenbahn AG, an Austrian-Hungarian joint venture, purchased six standard gauge diesel locomotives in 1972, which were designated as the M62.9 substructure series. These locomotives were based in Sopron and formed the backbone of traction for many years. Until they were taken out of service in 1996, they were indispensable in both freight and passenger service.
Realistic model realization
The model impresses with fully reproduced brake air lines and detailed air tanks. Particularly noteworthy is the realistic reproduction of the bogies, which give the model an authentic appearance. The free-standing shunter's grab irons underneath the buffers also emphasize the delicate and realistic design.
Digital technology with sound
The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 digital decoder and has a sound function that acoustically enhances operation. The 3 headlights / 2 marker lights change over depending on the direction of travel and can be switched in digital operation. The cab and engine room lighting can also be controlled separately. The modern LED technology ensures bright, energy-efficient lighting.
Technical equipment
Six axles are driven, two of which are equipped with traction tires, which ensures a high tractive force. A flywheel mass guarantees smooth running characteristics even at low speeds. With a length of 202 mm over coupling and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the locomotive can be used flexibly on a wide variety of H0 layouts. Thanks to the NEM 362 coupling with close coupling kinematics, operation in train sets is also possible without any problems.
