Swedish locomotive classic with a technical tradition
The locomotives of the Rc family were the first thyristor-controlled electric locomotives in Sweden. Produced by the manufacturer ASEA, a total of 130 Rc 4 series locomotives rolled off the production line between 1975 and 1982. They were used throughout the country for passenger and freight trains and are still among the best-known representatives of Swedish railroad history today.

The 5-pole motor, in combination with the flywheel mass and four driven axles, ensures excellent running characteristics. One axle is equipped with a traction tire, which ensures good tractive force.
