Roco 7520051 H0 electric locomotive Rh 1200, 1207, NS, Ep.III, AC-Sound Product Details
The Dutch 1200 series electric locomotives are six-axle, heavy electric locomotives. The locomotives were developed by the American companies Westinghouse and Baldwin, but built under license in the Netherlands. A total of 25 locomotives were sold to the Dutch State Railways (NS). Characteristic of the American locomotive are the high, bulky front ends and the small driver's cab. Most of the 1200 series locomotives were in service with the NS until 1988. Today, a few vehicles are still used by museums and private railroad companies. The locomotive with the number 1207 was delivered to the NS in 1952 with the factory number 931. In its turquoise livery, the locomotive ran in front of the first post-war D-train coaches of the NS.
