Roco 7520197 H0 Electric locomotive 1616, DB AG, Ep. VI, AC sound
Are you looking for a striking electric locomotive with an eventful history and modern technology for your H0 layout? The Roco 1616 from DB Cargo Nederland combines Dutch locomotive design with German operating history - now with sound and digital functions for AC operation.
History meets attention to detail
With the merger of Dutch freight transport with the German Railion Group, locomotives of the NS 1600 series were also added to the DB AG fleet. The locomotive 1616 shown here was given a traffic red livery in 2012 and was christened "Oldenzaal", among other things. As a farewell in 2020, it - like two other locomotives - was provided with individual texts designed by the locomotive drivers themselves.
Model version with many special features
The Roco version shows the locomotive without air conditioning, with filigree pantographs with innovative mounting and numerous separately attached plug-in parts - some even using etching technology. This creates a particularly realistic appearance that stands out in any collection.
Technology for digital AC operation
Thanks to the PluX22 interface and integrated sound decoder, the locomotive brings impressive sound and lighting effects to your layout. In digital operation, the head and tail lights as well as the cab lighting can be selectively switched. The locomotive runs smoothly thanks to the flywheel mass and powerful drive on two axles with additional traction thanks to two traction tires.
A visual and technical highlight
With a length of 201 mm and close coupler link in accordance with NEM 362, the locomotive can be flexibly integrated into many train formations. It is perfectly suited for use with modern Era VI freight trains - not only on German, but also on international routes.
Secure it now - the locomotive with the christened name "Oldenzaal"
The Roco 7520197 electric locomotive 1616 combines history, design and modern digital technology. A must-have for all those who want to authentically depict the international freight traffic of today. Now available in the model railroad store - grab it!
