Roco 78337 H0 electric locomotive Re 485 012-9, BLS-Cargo, Ep.VI, AC-sound

In 2001, BLS Lötschbergbahn AG decided to order ten Traxx locomotives for cross-border freight traffic. The BLS Cargo locomotives with the Swiss designation Re 485 are technically identical to the Re 482 series from SBB Cargo and the class 185 locomotives from DB Schenker with an additional Swiss package. The remaining Ae 4/4s were taken out of service between December 2002 and mid-2003. The new locomotives are primarily used in front of transit freight trains to and from Germany.
