Roco 79793 diesel locomotive 2M62-0064, RZD, Ep. VI (incl. sound) AC current/AC

The "October Revolution" locomotive factory in Lugansk, Ukraine, was already supplying "Taiga drums" to the allied COMECON countries from 1965. The first locomotives of the M62 series for the railroads of the Soviet Union were not delivered until 1970. The dual locomotives known as 2M62 were much more in demand. They are permanently coupled together in operation and the individual units only have a complete driver's cab on one front side. Between 1976 and 1988, 2,550 individual units were delivered. The first delivery series up to 2M62-0069 still had side access doors on the rear driver's cab.
