Description

Tillig 18146 TT Niederbordwagen Res 3936, DR, Ep. IV, beladen with zwei LKW Robur 1801 Product Details

Are you looking for an unusually loaded freight car for your TT layout in Era IV?

With the Tillig 18146 TT Res 3936 low side wagon of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, loaded with two Robur 1801 trucks in export version, you get a unique model that realistically reflects the freight traffic of the GDR in the 1970s and 80s. This set combines classic vehicle transport with typical rolling stock from Era IV - perfect for realistic operational representations on a scale of 1:120.

Prototype from DR export and domestic traffic

The Res 3936 low side wagon was a frequently used freight wagon in the GDR for transporting bulky and rolling loads. In this case, the model is transporting two Robur 1801 trucks with box bodies - a commercial vehicle manufactured in the GDR that was used both domestically and abroad. Especially in export traffic, such transports were regularly handled by rail.

Detailed TT model with striking load

The model impresses with its exact replica of the low-sided wagon with low drop sides, finely engraved stanchion holders and a double load of Robur 1801 lorries that is true to the original. The paintwork and printing correspond to the typical appearance of the DR in Era IV - including realistic lettering and car numbers.

Scale and technical details

The model is designed for the nominal scale TT (1:120) and runs on a track gauge of 12 mm. With a length over buffers of 166 mm, the wagon offers enough space for the eye-catching truck load. Thanks to the NEM shaft and close coupling kinematics, the Res 3936 is safe to operate and can be easily integrated into freight train formations.

Ideal for Era IV scenes with DR vehicles

Whether in a mixed freight train or as part of an export transport - this model brings the industrial reality of the GDR to your layout. It looks particularly authentic in combination with DR diesel locomotives such as the BR 110, BR 118 or the BR 132 as well as other freight wagons from the same era.
