As with the three-way turnout, the frogs are initially de-energized and can be polarized accordingly with the help of the motorized lower track drive or, if the upper track drive is used, with a relay. Furthermore, the new inner curve turnout has new, improved switch blades. The geometric data of the turnout (length, crossing angle, radii etc.) remain unchanged, as does the position of the wooden sleepers. This means that the existing STYROSTONE ® track bedding can still be used.
