Trix 22800 electric locomotive BR 189, DB, Ep. VI

Trix is producing this model of a class 189 electric locomotive for the Deutsche Bahn AG, which can also be found in an alternating current version in the Märklin assortment. This multi-system locomotive was used for cross-border freight service, which is why it has 4 roof-mounted pantographs. The engineer's cabs of the model were set up according to the prototype. In order to achieve optimum detail, both the different pantographs and the metal handrails have been accurately reproduced. The model is driven by a centrally installed and controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass, which drives all 4 axles by cardan shaft. No expense has been spared on the digital side either. An mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions are pre-installed. In addition to the three-light headlights that change depending on the direction of travel and the 2 red marker lights, the headlights on the individual sides of the locomotive can also be switched separately. The entire lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs.
