Description

Trix 22963 H0 E-Lok Ce6/8 I Köfferli, SBB, Ep. III, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details

Trix 22963 - H0 Electric locomotive Ce 6/8 I "Köfferli", SBB (Era III)

The Trix 22963 is a highly detailed model of the legendary Ce 6/8 I freight electric locomotive - affectionately known as the "Köfferli" - of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). In the pine green paint scheme with gray running gear, it represents the operating condition at the beginning of the 1950s, including all of the typical features of the time such as Integra Signum magnets, false running signal, sanding system, and cab doors on the ends with transition plates.

This version has been technically and visually revised and stands out from previous versions with a multitude of the finest details and updated digital technology - a real collector's item for connoisseurs of Swiss railroad history.

Technical details & equipment

The model is equipped with a centrally installed high-performance drive with a flywheel. Three driving wheels and one dummy shaft per driving gear are driven by cardan shafts. An articulated chassis that can negotiate curves ensures reliable operation, even on tight radii (minimum radius: 360 mm).

A DCC/mfx decoder with RailCom support makes it possible to control numerous operating, light and sound functions. An integrated buffer memory ensures uninterrupted operation during short power interruptions. The extensive lighting technology includes a three-light headlight dependent on the direction of travel and a white marker light (Swiss light change), which can be switched to a red marker light when running solo.

Additional light functions: separately switchable wrong way signal, separately switchable headlights on both sides of the locomotive, double A light function, and digitally controllable cab and engine room lighting.

Design & true to the prototype

The metal design impresses with a large number of separately applied details such as cooling pipes, heating resistors, roof lines, insulators and pantographs with double collector strips. The driver's cabs and engine rooms are finely reproduced, the sanding system is present on the driving wheel groups. Imitation screw couplers, steps and brake hoses are included as accessories.

Who is this model suitable for?

The Trix 22963 is designed for fans of Swiss railroad technology, collectors of historic electric locomotives, and model railroaders who demand a high level of detail and technical equipment. A highlight for any H0 layout with a connection to Switzerland.
