Trix 25080 H0 Dampflok BR 80, DB, Ep. III, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details
Trix 25080 H0 Class 80 Steam Locomotive, DB, DC Sound - Compact Power Locomotive in 1950s Operating Condition
The Trix 25080 is a particularly detailed version of the class 80 tank locomotive - a typical representative of the shunting and local freight traffic of the German Federal Railroad. In a deep black paint scheme with road number 80 016, it shows the condition around 1953. With three boiler superstructures, a chime and turbo-dynamo on the left side and a smoke box door without a central lock, the model is a striking example of German post-war steam technology of Era III.
Powerful technology in a filigree metal construction
The locomotive is largely made of metal and impresses with its many attached grab irons and cables. Thanks to the clear view between the frame and boiler as well as through the driver's cab, the model is very true to the original. A controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass in the boiler drives all three axles - for powerful and reliable operation. Traction tires provide additional traction on small radii and in shunting situations.
Digital equipment with Telex coupler and sound
Equipped with a DCC, mfx and RailCom-capable decoder, the class 80 offers numerous digital operating and sound functions. The Telex couplers installed as standard at the front and rear can be switched separately digitally - ideal for prototypical shunting maneuvers. The smoke unit installed at the factory for the first time can also be switched digitally. Direction-dependent dual headlights and LED lighting with warm white LEDs ensure harmonious lighting conditions.
Compact and compatible for any layout
With a length over buffers of only 11.1 cm, the model is ideal for small shunting yards or depots. An integrated buffer storage unit ensures reliable operation even during brief power interruptions. The buffer height complies with the NEM standard. Brake lines are included for additional visual refinement.
