With the Trix 25090 electric locomotive 1189 02, Trix is presenting an outstanding reproduction of a classic of Austrian railroad history. The so-called "Austrian Crocodile" class 1189 locomotive was a striking representative of ÖBB heavy freight and express train service in the 1970s. The road number 1189.02 depicted here appears in Era IV condition in the typical blood orange paint scheme - an unmistakable detail of Austrian railroad history.

The H0 scale model was produced with a highly detailed metal body and features numerous separately applied details. The locomotive offers a variety of digital functions, including separately switchable cab and engine room lighting as well as a head signal that can be switched off individually on both sides of the locomotive. The double A light function and the switchable lighting to a white tail light provide additional operational authenticity.

Thanks to the integrated digital decoder, the locomotive is DCC, mfx and RailCom compatible and offers extensive sound and operating functions. The lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs, which give the model a realistic appearance. With a length over buffers of approx. 23.4 cm, the locomotive is ideal for typical H0 layouts of Era IV. Changes to the shape have been made specifically to ensure that the 1189.02 locomotive is prototypical. Brake hoses and imitation screw couplers are included as separately applied parts for additional detail.
