The Trix 25906 is an impressive reproduction of the class 01.5 express locomotive of the German State Railroad (GDR) in the operating condition of the 1960s. With the road number 01 504, the model represents the DR's powerful steam locomotives with a new boiler, eye-catching white decorative stripes and the typical red running gear - a classic of Era III.

Delicate and powerful - metal design with numerous details

The model has continuous dome cladding, Witte wind deflectors in a special BR-01.5 design as well as a variant shape of the side cladding of the circulation plates. The Boxpok wheels and the openwork bar frame ensure a particularly harmonious appearance. The locomotive and tender are largely made of metal and offer outstanding stability and smooth running.

Digital and technically mature

A controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass in the boiler drives three axles, supported by traction tires. A smoke insert fitted as standard provides a steamy operating atmosphere. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting can be controlled separately digitally. Warm white LEDs ensure harmonious lighting.

Compatible and suitable for operation on all layouts

A buffer storage unit ensures uninterrupted operation over sections without power. The close coupler with kinematics between the locomotive and tender as well as the kinematics-guided coupler with NEM shaft on the tender guarantee smooth train connections. With a minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive is also suitable for more compact layouts. Piston rod protection tubes and brake hoses are included for visual enhancement.
